Adhyāya 208: Aṅgirasī-kanyāḥ
Enumeration of Aṅgiras’ daughters and attribute-names
सत्यं वदे नाभ्यसूये यथाशक्ति ददामि च । देवतातिथि भृत्यानामवशिष्टेन वर्तये,सत्य बोलता हूँ। किसीकी निनन्दा नहीं करता और अपनी शक्तिके अनुसार दान भी करता हूँ। देवताओं, अतिथियों और भरण-पोषणके योग्य कुटुम्बीजनों तथा सेवकोंको भोजन देकर जो बचता है उसीसे शरीरका निर्वाह करता हूँ
satyaṁ vade nābhyasūye yathāśakti dadāmi ca | devatātithi-bhṛtyānām avaśiṣṭena vartaye ||
Người thợ săn nói: “Tôi nói lời chân thật, không buông lời chê trách ai, và bố thí theo sức mình. Sau khi dâng phần ăn cho chư thiên, đãi khách, và nuôi những người nương tựa nơi tôi—người nhà cùng kẻ hầu—tôi chỉ sống bằng phần còn lại.”
