मातापितृपूजन-प्रधानधर्मः (Primacy of Filial Service) — Mārkaṇḍeya’s Account of the Vyādha’s Instruction
स तु देवान् सगन्धर्वान् जित्वा धुन्धुरमर्षण: । बबाध सर्वानसकृद् विष्णु देवांश्व वै भूशम्,धुन्धु अमर्षमें भरा हुआ था। उसने गन्धर्व-सहित सम्पूर्ण देवताओंको जीतकर भगवान् विष्णु तथा अन्य देवताओंको बार-बार महान वष्ट देना प्रारम्भ किया
sa tu devān sagandharvān jitvā dhundhur amarṣaṇaḥ | babādha sarvān asakṛd viṣṇuṃ devāṃś ca vai bhṛśam ||
Mārkaṇḍeya nói: “Dhundhu, lòng đầy cơn thịnh nộ dữ dội, trước hết đã khuất phục chư thiên cùng các Gandharva; rồi hết lần này đến lần khác, hắn bạo ngược áp bức tất thảy—thậm chí còn xông phạm cả Vishnu và các thần linh khác.”
