जयेत्‌ कदर्य दानेन सत्येनानृतवादिनम्‌ | क्षमया क्रूरकर्माण- मसाधुं साधुना जयेत्‌,“नीच प्रकृतिवाले मनुष्यको दान देकर वशमें करे। असत्यवादीको सत्य भाषणसे जीते। क्रूरको क्षमासे और दुष्टको उत्तम व्यवहारसे अपने वशमें करे

vaiśampāyana uvāca | jayet kadarya-dānena satyenānṛta-vādinam | kṣamayā krūra-karmāṇam asādhuṃ sādhunā jayet |

Vaiśampāyana nói: Hãy cảm hóa kẻ keo kiệt bằng bố thí, và khuất phục kẻ nói dối bằng lời chân thật. Hãy vượt qua kẻ tàn bạo bằng nhẫn nhịn, và khiến kẻ ác quy phục bằng hạnh kiểm của người thiện.
