Kuvalāśva’s Lineage and Uttaṅka’s Petition concerning Dhundhu (धुन्धु-प्रसङ्गः)

राजपुत्र्युवाच वरं वृणे भगवंस्त्वेवमेष विमुच्यतां किल्बिषादद्य भर्ता । शिवेन चाध्याहि सपुत्रबान्धवं वरो वृतो होष मया द्विजाग्रय,राजकुमारी बोली--भगवन्‌! मैं यही चाहती हूँ कि मेरे ये पति आज सब पापोंसे छुटकारा पा जायँ। आप यह आशीर्वाद दें कि ये पुत्र और बन्धु-बान्धवोंसहित सुखसे रहें। विप्रवर! मैंने आपसे यही वर माँगा है

rājaputry uvāca varaṁ vṛṇe bhagavaṁs tv evam eṣa vimucyatāṁ kilbiṣād adya bhartā | śivena cādhyāhi saputrabāndhavaṁ varo vṛto hoṣa mayā dvijāgrya ||

Công chúa thưa: “Bạch ngài tôn kính, con xin chọn ân phúc này: xin cho phu quân của con hôm nay được giải thoát khỏi tội lỗi và mọi uế nhiễm. Và xin ngài ban phúc an lành, để chàng được sống hạnh phúc cùng các con và thân tộc. Ôi bậc tối thượng trong hàng Bà-la-môn, đó chính là điều con cầu xin nơi ngài.”
