Indradyumna Upākhyāna: On Kīrti, Smṛti, and Restoration
म्लेच्छभूतं जगत् सर्व भविष्यति युधिष्ठिर । नश्राद्धैस्तर्पयिष्यन्ति दैवतानीह मानवा:,युधिष्ठि!| उस समय सारा जगत् म्लेच्छ हो जायगा। मनुष्य श्राद्ध और यज्ञ-कर्मोद्वारा पितरों और देवताओंको संतुष्ट नहीं करेंगे
mlecchabhūtaṃ jagat sarvaṃ bhaviṣyati yudhiṣṭhira | na śrāddhaiḥ tarpayiṣyanti daivatānīha mānavāḥ ||
Mārkaṇḍeya nói: “Hỡi Yudhiṣṭhira, rồi đây toàn thế gian sẽ trở nên như mleccha—xa lìa trật tự thiêng liêng. Con người ở cõi này sẽ không còn làm lễ śrāddha và các phận sự tế tự để làm vừa lòng các thần linh và tổ tiên nữa.”
