म्लेच्छभूतं जगत्‌ सर्व निष्क्रियं यज्ञवर्जितम्‌ । भविष्यति निरानन्दमनुत्सवमथो तथा,सारा संसार म्लेच्छोंकी भाँति शुभ कर्म और यज्ञ-यागादि छोड़ देगा तथा आनन्दशून्य और उत्सवरहित हो जायगा

Mlecchabhūtaṃ jagat sarvaṃ niṣkriyaṃ yajñavarjitam | Bhaviṣyati nirānandam anutsavam atho tathā ||

Mārkaṇḍeya nói: “Cả thế gian sẽ trở nên như bọn mleccha—mất trật tự thiêng liêng—sa vào trì trệ và bỏ hẳn tế lễ. Nó sẽ hóa thành một cõi không niềm vui, không hội lễ.”
