Nārāyaṇopadeśa to Mārkaṇḍeya (Cosmic Self-Identification and Yuga Doctrine) | नारायणोपदेशः
यो ब्राह्मदेयां तु ददाति कन्यां भूमिप्रदानं च करोति विदप्रे । ददाति दानं विधिना च यश्न॒ स लोकमाप्रोति पुरंदरस्य,जो ब्राह्म विवाहकी विधिसे दान करनेयोग्य कन्याका (श्रेष्ठ वरको) दान करता है, ब्राह्मणको भूदान देता है और विधिपूर्वक अन्यान्य वस्तुओंका दान सम्पन्न करता है, वह इन्द्रलोकमें जाता है
yo brāhmadeyāṁ tu dadāti kanyāṁ bhūmipradānaṁ ca karoti vipre | dadāti dānaṁ vidhinā ca yaś ca sa lokam āpnoti purandarasya ||
Mārkaṇḍeya nói: Ai gả con gái theo đúng nghi thức hôn phối Brahma (Brahma-vivāha), lại hiến đất làm tặng phẩm cho một brāhmaṇa, và còn thực hiện các bố thí khác theo nghi lễ quy định—người ấy đạt đến cõi của Purandara (Indra).
