Sarasvatī–Tārkṣya Saṃvāda: Agnihotra-vidhi, Dāna-phala, and Mokṣa-prasaṅga (सरस्वती–तार्क्ष्यसंवादः)
ऋषयस्ते महात्मान: प्रत्यक्षागमबुद्धयः । कर्मभूमिमिमां प्राप्प पुनर्यान्ति सुरालयम्,लौकिक तथा शास्त्रीय ज्ञानको प्रत्यक्ष करनेवाले वे महामना ऋषि इस कर्मभूमिमें आकर फिर देवलोकमें चले जाते हैं
ṛṣayas te mahātmānaḥ pratyakṣāgamabuddhayaḥ | karmabhūmim imāṃ prāpya punar yānti surālayam ||
Mārkaṇḍeya nói: “Những bậc hiền triết đại hồn ấy, trí hiểu đặt nền trên cả chứng ngộ trực tiếp lẫn uy quyền của truyền thống thánh điển, đến cõi này—cánh đồng nơi nghiệp được thực hiện—rồi khi đã viên thành việc mình, lại ra đi trở về chốn của chư thiên.”
