अजुन उवाच शृणु हन्त महाराज विधिना येन दृष्टवान् | शतक्रतुमहं देव॑ं भगवन्तं च शड्करम्
arjuna uvāca: śṛṇu hanta mahārāja vidhinā yena dṛṣṭavān | śatakratum ahaṃ devaṃ bhagavantaṃ ca śaṅkaram ||
Arjuna nói: “Xin hãy lắng nghe, hỡi Đại vương. Ta sẽ kể theo đúng trình tự phương cách nhờ đó ta được diện kiến thần Indra—Chúa tể của trăm lễ tế—và Đấng cát tường Śaṅkara. Xin nghe đây: tuân theo kỷ luật đã định và vâng theo chỉ dụ của bệ hạ, ta lên đường vào rừng để thực hành khổ hạnh.”
