विद्यामधीत्य तां राजंस्त्वयोक्तामरिमर्दन । भवता च समादिष्टस्तपसे प्रस्थितो वनम्
vidyām adhītya tāṁ rājan tvayoktām arimardana | bhavatā ca samādiṣṭas tapase prasthito vanam ||
Arjuna nói: “Tâu Đại vương—bậc nghiền nát quân thù—sau khi học thấu tri thức thiêng liêng mà bệ hạ đã truyền dạy, và vâng theo chính mệnh lệnh của người, ta lên đường vào rừng để thực hành khổ hạnh. Nay xin nghe ta thuật lại theo đúng trình tự việc ta được diện kiến Indra và Śaṅkara.”
