Educational Q&A

The verse foregrounds the dharmic partnership between king and sage: royal power is guided and sanctified through properly conducted ritual under a qualified ṛṣi, and extraordinary outcomes are framed as meaningful signs within a righteous sacrificial context.

The speaker addresses a king and says that, at that place, the Bhārgava sage Cyavana served as officiant and had a sacrifice performed; the speaker then introduces that remarkable events occurred there and invites the king to hear them.
