Kirmīra-rākṣasa-saṃgamaḥ (Encounter and Slaying of Kirmīra) | किर्मीरेण सह भीमसेनसमागमः
वैनतेयो यथा पक्षी गरुत्मान् पततां वर: । तथैवाभिपतिष्यामि भयं वो नेह विद्यते,उस समय वहाँ वायुके समान वेग और पराक्रमवाले महाबाहु भीमसेनने आर्या कुन्ती तथा भाइयोंको आश्वासन देते हुए कहा--'पक्षियोंमें श्रेष्ठ विनतानन्दन गरुड जैसे उड़ा करते हैं, उसी प्रकार मैं भी तुम सबको लेकर यहाँसे चल दूँगा। अतः तुम्हें यहाँ तनिक भी भय नहीं है”
vainateyo yathā pakṣī garutmān patatāṃ varaḥ | tathaivābhipatiṣyāmi bhayaṃ vo neha vidyate ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Như Vainateya—Garutmān, bậc tối thượng trong loài chim bay—vút lên giữa không trung, ta cũng sẽ lao đi như thế. Ở đây, các người tuyệt chẳng có gì phải sợ.” (Trong mạch truyện, Bhīma trấn an Kuntī và các em, hứa hành động mau lẹ để che chở, xua tan nỗi lo.)
