Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharmic conduct in a sacred setting: at a tīrtha, relationships are reaffirmed through respectful attendance and protective solidarity. The act of surrounding the Pāṇḍavas suggests support and guardianship offered in a spirit of kinship and reverence.

The Pāṇḍavas arrive at the holy place called Prabhāsa on the seashore. There, the Vṛṣṇi heroes gather around them, standing close in attendance—indicating a meeting or reception at the pilgrimage site.
