उदतिष्ठत् सहामात्य: पूजयन् मधुसूदनम् । दशाहनन्दन श्रीकृष्णके आते ही महायशस्वी दुर्योधन मधुसूदनका सम्मान करते हुए मन्त्रियोंसहित उठकर खड़ा हो गया
udatiṣṭhat sahāmātyaḥ pūjayan madhusūdanam |
Vaiśampāyana nói: Duryodhana, người con lẫy lừng của Dhṛtarāṣṭra, đã cùng các đại thần đứng dậy và, để tỏ lòng tôn kính, bái chào Madhusūdana (Kṛṣṇa). Cảnh ấy phơi bày sự căng thẳng giữa lễ nghi bề ngoài và quyết tâm thầm kín—điều chẳng bao lâu nữa sẽ đẩy cuộc xung đột đến bờ chiến tranh.
