विदुरस्य कृष्णं प्रति शमोपदेशः

कृतार्था भुज्जते दूता: पूजां गृह्नन्ति चैव ह । कृतार्थ मां सहामात्यं समर्चिष्यसि भारत
kṛtārthā bhuñjate dūtāḥ pūjāṃ gṛhṇanti caiva ha | kṛtārthaṃ māṃ sahāmātyaṃ samarcayiṣyasi bhārata ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: “Có một lệ đã định: sứ giả chỉ nhận cơm nước và vinh dự sau khi sứ mệnh đã hoàn thành. Vì vậy, hỡi Bhārata, khi mục đích của ta đã được thành tựu, bấy giờ hãy kính trọng và tiếp đãi ta cùng các đại thần của ta.”
