yā me prītiḥ puṣkarākṣa tvaddarśana-samudbhavā | sā kim ākhyāyate tubhyam antarātmāsi dehinām ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Ôi đấng mắt như hoa sen! Niềm hoan hỷ khởi lên trong ta khi được thấy ngài—làm sao có thể diễn tả cho ngài? Ngài là Tự Ngã nội tại ngự trong mọi hữu tình mang thân; chẳng điều gì có thể che giấu trước ngài.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse expresses that genuine joy born from the vision of the divine need not be explained to the divine, because the divine is the antarātmā—the indwelling knower of all beings—who already knows the devotee’s inner state.
In the Udyoga Parva context of diplomatic and moral tension before war, a speaker addresses the lotus-eyed figure with reverence, saying that the happiness felt upon seeing him is beyond description and, in any case, already known to him as the inner Self of all embodied creatures.
