कुरुसभायां केशवागमन-सत्कारविधानम् / Preparations to Honor Keśava at the Kuru Court
पदातीनां सहस्नं च सादिनां च परंतप । भोज्यं च विपुलं राजन प्रेष्याश्न शतशो5परे
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
padātīnāṃ sahasraṃ ca sādīnāṃ ca parantapa |
bhojyaṃ ca vipulaṃ rājan preṣyāś ca śataśo 'pare ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Hỡi bậc thiêu đốt quân thù, hỡi đại vương, còn có một nghìn bộ binh và một nghìn kỵ binh, lương thực dồi dào, cùng hàng trăm người hầu khác nữa.” Lời kể nhấn mạnh rằng ngay cả một sứ mệnh chính nghĩa cũng phải được tiến hành với sự chuẩn bị thực tế—hộ vệ, hậu cần và đoàn tùy tùng kỷ luật—để bổn phận được hoàn thành hữu hiệu giữa cơn xung đột đang cận kề.
