Bhīṣma’s Recollection of the Duel: Charioteer’s Fall, Brahmin Protection, and Portents after Rāma’s Collapse
ततो बाणमयं वर्ष ववर्ष मयि भार्गव: । न्यवारयमहं तच्च शरजालेन भारत,उस समय भृगुनन्दन परशुरामजीने मुझपर बाणोंकी झड़ी लगा दी। भारत! तब मैंने अपने सायकसमूहोंसे उस बाणवर्षाको रोक दिया
tato bāṇamayaṃ varṣaṃ vavarṣa mayi bhārgavaḥ | nyavārayam ahaṃ tac ca śarajālena bhārata ||
Bấy giờ Bhārgava Paraśurāma trút xuống ta một cơn mưa tên. Hỡi Bhārata, ta đã chặn trận bão tên ấy bằng cách giăng một lưới mũi tên của chính mình—lấy sức đối sức, theo kỷ luật của đạo binh đao.
भीष्म उवाच

Bhīṣma narrates that Paraśurāma unleashed a dense volley of arrows at him, and Bhīṣma neutralized it by intercepting with his own arrows, forming an ‘arrow-net’ that blocks the incoming barrage.
