Bhīṣma’s Appraisal of Pāṇḍava-Alliance Warriors (Śikhaṇḍin, Dhṛṣṭadyumna, and Allied Kings)
गाण्डीवं च धर्नुर्दिव्यं ते चाश्वा वातरंहस: । अभेद्यं कवचं दिव्यमक्षय्यौ च महेषुधी,दिव्य गाण्डीव धनुष है, वायुके समान वेगशाली अअश्व हैं, अभेद्य दिव्य कव४च है तथा अक्षय बाणोंसे भरे हुए दो महान् तरकस हैं
gāṇḍīvaṃ ca dhanuḥ divyaṃ te cāśvā vātarāṃhasaḥ | abhedyaṃ kavacaṃ divyam akṣayyau ca maheṣudhī ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Ngươi có cây cung thần Gāṇḍīva; ngựa của ngươi nhanh như gió. Ngươi còn có áo giáp thần không thể xuyên thủng, và hai ống tên lớn với nguồn tên không bao giờ cạn.” Lời ca ngợi khí giới của Arjuna cho thấy quyền năng và sự che chở phi thường được quy tụ cho một chính nghĩa; đồng thời nhắc rằng những ân ban ấy càng làm tăng trách nhiệm phải hành xử tiết chế và thuận theo dharma.
