धृतराष्ट्रस्य वंशोपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Dynastic Counsel on Legitimate Rule
नीचै: स्थित्वा तु विदुर उपास्ते सम विनीतवत् । प्रेष्पवत् पुरुषव्याप्रो वालव्यजनमुत्क्षिपन्
nīcaiḥ sthitvā tu vidura upāste sama-vinītavat | preṣpavat puruṣa-vyāghro vāla-vyajanam utkṣipan ||
Rồi Vidura đứng thấp xuống một cách khiêm cung như một cận thần được rèn luyện, lấy sự điềm tĩnh và lễ độ mà phụng sự Dhṛtarāṣṭra. Như hổ giữa loài người, ông nâng và phe phẩy chiếc quạt đuôi bò yak (chāmara), chọn kỷ luật và tự chế thay cho kiêu mạn—một biểu hiện của dharma: làm tròn bổn phận không ngã mạn, ngay cả trong nội đình đang căng thẳng.
