धृतराष्ट्रस्य वंशोपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Dynastic Counsel on Legitimate Rule
चित्रकार इवालेख्यं कृत्वा स्थापितवानसि । महाराज! ऐसा कोई उपाय कीजिये
citrakāra ivālekhyaṃ kṛtvā sthāpitavān asi | mahārāja, eṣa ko'pi upāyaḥ kriyatā yena eṣāṃ nāśo na bhavet | mahāmate, yathā citrakāraḥ kañcid citraṃ kṛtvā ekasmin deśe sthāpayati, tathā tvayā mām ca dhṛtarāṣṭraṃ ca pūrvam eva niṣkriyaṃ kṛtvā sthāpitau |
Vidura nói: “Tâu Đại vương! Ngài đã sắp đặt mọi sự như người họa sĩ vẽ xong một bức tranh rồi đặt xuống—cố định, không đổi. Xin Đại vương hãy tìm một kế sách để những người ấy khỏi bị diệt vong. Ôi bậc trí tuệ! Như nghệ nhân hoàn tất bức họa rồi để sang một bên, cũng vậy, ngài dường như đã từ lâu khiến cả tôi và Dhṛtarāṣṭra trở nên bất lực, bị gạt ra ngoài.”
