Droṇa–Vidura–Gāndhārī Counsel in the Royal Assembly (धर्मार्थयुक्ता सभा-उपदेश-प्रकरणम्)
अयाचं भ्रातृदारेषु तदा व्यासं महामुनिम् | सह मात्रा महाराज प्रसाद्य तमृषिं तदा
ayācaṁ bhrātṛdāreṣu tadā vyāsaṁ mahāmunim | saha mātrā mahārāja prasādya tam ṛṣiṁ tadā ||
Bhishma nói: “Rồi khi ấy, tâu Đại vương, sau khi ta dùng lời cung kính mà khiến mẫu thân ta và những người khác thuận theo, ta đến gặp đại hiền Vyasa; đã làm cho vị rishi ấy hoan hỷ, ta thỉnh cầu ngài gieo giống để sinh con trai nơi các quả phụ của huynh ta. Ôi bậc trang sức của dòng Bharata, bậc đại thánh động lòng từ mẫn và đã sinh ra ba người con từ những người nữ ấy.”
