यो होवमविनीतेन रमते पुत्र नप्तृणा । अनुत्थानवता चापि दुर्विनीतेन दुर्धिया
yo hovam avinītena ramate putra naptṛṇā | anutthānavatā cāpi durvinītena durdhiyā | sukhaṃ naiveha nāmutra labhante puruṣādhamāḥ |
Con ơi, kẻ nào vui thích vì có con hay cháu thiếu kỷ luật và giáo dưỡng—lười biếng, vô lễ, trí hiểu lệch lạc—thì chẳng tìm được an lạc ở đời này cũng như đời sau. Hạng người hèn kém ấy, quyến luyến con cháu bất xứng, không đạt được phúc lợi thế gian lẫn thiện quả ở cõi sau; bởi những hậu duệ kia không gánh vác bổn phận phải làm, mà nếu có làm thì cũng không tránh khỏi những việc đáng chê trách.
