भैक्ष॑ विप्रतिषिद्ध ते कृषिनैवोपपद्यते । क्षत्रियोउसि क्षतात् त्राता बाहुवीयोपजीविता
bhaikṣaṁ vipratiṣiddhaṁ te kṛṣināivopapadyate | kṣatriyo 'si kṣatāt trātā bāhuvīryopajīvitā, yudhiṣṭhira |
“Hỡi Yudhiṣṭhira! Với ngươi, sống bằng khất thực là điều tuyệt đối bị cấm, và việc canh nông cũng không hợp. Ngươi là kṣatriya—người che chở kẻ khác khỏi tổn hại. Vì thế, kế sinh nhai của ngươi phải đặt trên sức mạnh cánh tay: tức quyền vương chính đáng và bổn phận bảo hộ.”
