Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes steadfastness (dhruvam) rooted in dharma: when a sacred duty such as a yajña is at hand, a revered elder (pitāmaha) is expected to stand firm, embodying stability, legitimacy, and commitment to righteous order.

The speaker indicates that, in this setting connected with a yajña, the Grandsire will arrive and take a definite, unwavering position—suggesting a decisive presence or stance in the unfolding events.
