वाचको भरतमश्रेष्ठ व्यक्ताक्षरपदस्वर: | भविष्यं श्रावयेद् विद्वान् भारतं भरतर्षभ
vācako bharataśreṣṭha vyaktākṣarapadasvaraḥ | bhaviṣyaṃ śrāvayed vidvān bhārataṃ bharatarṣabha ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Hỡi bậc ưu tú trong dòng Bharata, người xướng tụng phải là bậc học giả, phát âm rõ ràng từng âm tiết, từng từ, từng thanh điệu. Như vậy, hỡi ‘ngưu vương’ của dòng Bharata, ông ta phải khiến cho thiên Bhārata được lắng nghe, và cũng nên tụng đọc phần Bhaviṣya (theo truyền thống Harivaṃśa).”
