तदर्थ पादशेषं वा वित्तशाव्यविवर्जितम्‌ । यद्‌ यदेवात्मनो<भीष्टं तत्‌ तद्‌ देयं द्विजातये

Transliteration

tadarthaṃ pādaśeṣaṃ vā vittāśāvyavivarjitam | yad yad evātmano 'bhīṣṭaṃ tat tad deyaṃ dvijātaye ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana nói: “Nếu không thể lo đủ phần trọn vẹn, thì hãy dâng cả phần còn lại—không để vướng chút tì vết keo kiệt khi của cải vẫn còn. Bất cứ vật gì chính mình yêu quý, thì chính những vật ấy hãy đem bố thí cho bậc ‘nhị sinh’ (Bà-la-môn).”
