अविलम्बमनायस्तमद्रुतं धीरमूर्जितम् । असंसक्ताक्षरपदं स्वरभावसमन्वितम्
avilambam anāyastam adrutaṃ dhīram ūrjitam | asaṃsaktākṣarapadaṃ svarabhāvasamanvitam ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: “Lời tụng kể không nên ngập ngừng kéo dài, cũng không nên vội vã. Hãy tiến hành thong thả mà vững chãi, đầy sinh lực; phát âm rõ ràng từng âm tiết và từ ngữ, không dính lẫn; để giọng và tình hòa hợp. Như vậy người kể chuyện mới truyền đạt ý nghĩa một cách êm dịu, khiến câu chuyện dễ hiểu và có sức cảm hóa.”
