Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 5 — Karmaphala-Nirdeśa and Phalāśruti (कर्मफलनिर्देशः फलश्रुतिश्च)

वैशम्पायन उवाच न शक्‍यं कर्मणामन्ते सर्वेण मनुजाधिप । प्रकृति कि नु सम्यक्ते पृच्छैषा सम्प्रयोजिता

vaiśampāyana uvāca | na śakyaṃ karmaṇām ante sarveṇa manujādhipa | prakṛtiṃ ki nu samyakte pṛcchaiṣā samprayojitā ||

Vaiśampāyana đáp: “Hỡi bậc chúa tể loài người, không thể nói rằng khi quả của nghiệp đã tận, hết thảy mọi người không trừ ai đều tan nhập vào Prakṛti (bản thể nguyên sơ). Nếu nhà vua tự hỏi rằng câu hỏi ấy có phải là không thích đáng chăng, thì không: chính đối với những kẻ không đạt Prakṛti mà câu hỏi của ngài hoàn toàn xác đáng—họ sẽ ra sao, và theo nguyên lý nào mà số phận của họ được phân định?”
