Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 5 — Karmaphala-Nirdeśa and Phalāśruti (कर्मफलनिर्देशः फलश्रुतिश्च)
तेनोक्त कर्मणामन्ते प्रविशन्ति स्विकां तनुम् वसूनेव महातेजा भीष्म: प्राप महाद्युति:
tenokta-karmaṇām ante praviśanti svikāṃ tanum | vasūn iva mahātejā bhīṣmaḥ prāpa mahādyutiḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Khi quả báo của những hành nghiệp đã nói đến đi đến tận cùng, họ trở vào chính bản thể chân thật của mình. Bởi vậy Bhīṣma, dũng mãnh và rực rỡ—đầy đại quang huy—đã đạt đến địa vị của các Vasu.”
