स्वर्गारोहणपर्व — तृतीयोऽध्यायः
Indra and Dharma’s Consolation; Celestial Gaṅgā Purification
शुभानामशुभानां च द्वौ राशी पुरुषर्षभ । यः पूर्व सुकृतं भुड्चक्ते पश्चान्रिरयमेव स:
śubhānām aśubhānāṁ ca dvau rāśī puruṣarṣabha | yaḥ pūrvaṁ sukṛtaṁ bhuṅkte paścān nirayam eva saḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Hỡi bậc trượng phu như bò mộng giữa loài người, trong đời một người có hai đống nghiệp tích tụ: nghiệp lành và nghiệp dữ. Ai trước hết hưởng cạn quả phúc của mình thì về sau chỉ còn phải xuống địa ngục (để chịu phần tội còn lại).”
