उतथ्योपदेशः—राजधर्मः, दर्पनिग्रहः, प्रजारक्षणम्
Utathya’s Instruction: Royal Dharma, Restraint of Pride, Protection of Subjects
उच्छिद्यते धर्मवृत्तमधर्मो वर्तते महान् भयमाहुर्दिवारात्रं यदा पापो न वार्यते,जब पापको रोका नहीं जाता, तब जगतमें धार्मिक बर्तावका उच्छेद हो जाता है और सब ओर महान् अधर्म फैल जाता है, जिससे प्रजाको दिन-रात भय बना रहता है
ucchidyate dharmavṛttam adharmo vartate mahān | bhayam āhur divārātraṁ yadā pāpo na vāryate ||
Utathya nói: Khi điều ác không bị ngăn chặn, chính nếp thực hành Dharma bị chặt đứt. Rồi đại adharma lan tràn khắp nơi, khiến dân chúng sống trong sợ hãi ngày đêm.
