इति वाचा मधुरया शलक्ष्णया सोपचारया । स्वरश्मीनभ्यवसृजेद् योगमाधाय कालवित्
iti vācā madhurayā śalakṣṇayā sopacārayā | svaraśmīn abhyavasṛjed yogam ādhāya kālavit ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Vì vậy, bằng lời lẽ ngọt ngào, êm dịu và lễ độ, người hiểu rõ thời thế và hoàn cảnh phải tiến hành với mưu lược chừng mực—sai phái thuộc hạ đi, dùng sự khuyên nhủ mềm mỏng và những phương cách thích hợp, chứ không dùng hà khắc, khi sắp đặt việc thu góp tài vật từ các hộ gia đình cho nhu cầu của quốc độ.”
