सान्त्व-निति: (Sāntva-Nīti) — The One-Word Principle of Conciliation
भीष्म उवाच इत्युक्त: कृतवान् सर्व यथा शक्र: पुरोधसा । तथा त्वमपि कौन्तेय सम्यगेतत् समाचर,भीष्मजी कहते हैं--कुन्तीनन्दन! अपने पुरोहित बृहस्पतिके ऐसा कहनेपर इन्द्रने सब कुछ उसी तरह किया। इसी प्रकार तुम भी इस सान्त्वनापूर्ण वचनको भलीभाँति आचरणमें लाओ
bhīṣma uvāca | ity uktaḥ kṛtavān sarvaṃ yathā śakraḥ purodhasā | tathā tvam api kaunteya samyag etat samācara ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Khi vị tế sư của mình đã nói như vậy, Śakra (Indra) liền làm đúng y như lời chỉ dạy. Cũng thế, hỡi con của Kuntī, ngươi hãy thực hành cho phải đạo lời khuyên an ủi này.”
