Chapter 81: Trust, Allies, and the Qualifications of the King’s Artha-Secretary (अर्थसचिव)
तं शक््त्या वर्धमानश्न सर्वतः परिबृंहयेत् । नित्यं क्षताद् वारयति यो धर्मेष्वपि कर्मसु
taṁ śaktyā vardhamānaś ca sarvataḥ paribṛṁhayet | nityaṁ kṣatād vārayati yo dharmeṣv api karmasu ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Khi năng lực và phú quý của mình tăng trưởng, hãy tùy sức mà nâng đỡ người ấy (nhà vua), làm cho phúc lợi của người ấy được vững mạnh khắp mọi bề. Người bạn chân chính là kẻ, dù đang làm việc theo dharma, vẫn luôn cố gắng che chở nhà vua khỏi tổn thất và lo âu trước viễn cảnh nhà vua bị hại. Còn những kẻ mong nhà vua mất mát và diệt vong thì phải bị xem là kẻ thù.”
