Daṇḍanīti and the King as the Cause of Yuga-Order (दण्डनीतिः राजधर्मश्च युगकारणत्वम्)
न्यसेत गुल्मान् दुर्गेषु सनधौ च कुरुनन्दन । नगरोपवने चैव पुरोद्यानेषु चैव ह,कुरुनन्दन! राजाको किलोंमें, राज्यकी सीमापर तथा नगर और गाँवके बगीचोंमें सेना रखनी चाहिये
nyaset gulmān durgeṣu sanadhau ca kurunandana | nagaropavane caiva purodyāneṣu caiva ha ||
Bhīṣma thưa: “Hỡi niềm vui của dòng Kuru, nhà vua nên bố trí các toán quân trong các thành lũy và tại những ngả đường biên giới; lại cũng nên đặt quân ở các vườn tược của thành thị và trong những ngự uyển nơi hoàng gia du ngoạn.”
