अध्याय ३५१ — उञ्छवृत्ति-व्रतसिद्धेः मानुषस्य परमगतिः
Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic
रूपाण्यनेकान्यसृजत् प्रादुर्भावे भवाय स: । वाराहं नारसिंहं च वामनं मानुषं तथा
rūpāṇy anekāny asṛjat prādurbhāve bhavāya saḥ | vārāhaṃ nārasiṃhaṃ ca vāmanaṃ mānuṣaṃ tathā ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Vì phúc lợi của thế gian, vào lúc hiển lộ, Ngài đã hóa hiện vô số hình tướng—như Varāha (Heo Rừng), Narasiṃha (Người–Sư tử), Vāmana (Người Lùn), và cả hình người—mỗi lần xuất hiện đúng khi cần, để nâng đỡ trật tự (dharma) và che chở muôn loài.
