अध्याय ३५१ — उञ्छवृत्ति-व्रतसिद्धेः मानुषस्य परमगतिः

कथान्तरे5थ कम्मिंश्षित् पृष्टोडस्माभिद्धिजोत्तम: | वेदार्थान् भारतार्थाश्व॒ जन्म नारायणात् तथा
kathāntare 'tha kasmiṁścit pṛṣṭo 'smābhir dvijottamaḥ | vedārthān bhāratārthāṁś ca janma nārāyaṇāt tathā ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Có lần, trong lúc trò chuyện, chúng tôi đã hỏi Vyāsa—bậc tối thượng trong hàng “nhị sinh”—về ý nghĩa của các Veda và của Mahābhārata, lại hỏi cả chuyện tích về sự ra đời của ngài từ Nārāyaṇa.
