Nāga-āyatana-darśana-pratīkṣā — The Brāhmaṇa’s Request and Waiting on the Gomatī
The verse teaches that the Lord most cherishes awakened, great-souled devotees, and that recognizing this leads one to single-minded devotion and exclusive refuge (ekāntika śaraṇāgati) rather than divided loyalties.
Nārada is speaking as a spiritual authority, praising the unique dearness of enlightened devotees to the Lord and explaining his own response: he has therefore chosen unwavering, exclusive surrender to that Lord.
