देवानां तु सकाशाद् वै ततः श्रुत्वासितो द्विज:
devānāṃ tu sakāśād vai tataḥ śrutvāsito dvijaḥ
Bhīṣma nói: “Rồi bấy giờ, vị brāhmaṇa Asita, sau khi nghe trực tiếp từ nơi các chư thiên, đã thấu hiểu sự việc đúng như thật.”
भीष्म उवाच
True understanding is strengthened when knowledge is received from a trustworthy and elevated source; here, the narrative underscores the authority of divine testimony and the disciplined receptivity of a sage.
Bhīṣma continues a didactic account: the sage Asita, described as a dvija, hears a matter directly in the presence of the gods and, after hearing, proceeds with the understanding or response that follows in the subsequent verses.
