अश्वशिरो-आख्यानम्

अष्टचक्रं हि तद्‌ यान॑ भूतयुक्तं मनोरमम्‌ । तत्राद्यौ लोकनाथौ तौ कृशौ धमनिसंततौ

aṣṭacakraṃ hi tad yānaṃ bhūtayuktaṃ manoramam | tatrādyau lokanāthau tau kṛśau dhamanisaṃtatau ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Cỗ xe mỹ lệ ấy quả có tám bánh và được thắng bởi muôn loài hữu tình. Tại đó, hai Đấng Chúa Tể nguyên sơ của thế gian vì khổ hạnh mà trở nên gầy guộc tột độ, gân mạch nổi rõ. Hào quang tu khổ hạnh của họ rực mạnh đến nỗi ngay cả chư thiên cũng khó dám nhìn; chỉ ai được họ ban ân mới có thể chiêm bái hai bậc Thần Vương ấy.”
