Nārāyaṇasya Guhya-nāmāni Niruktāni (Etymologies of Nārāyaṇa’s Secret Epithets) / नारायणस्य गुह्यनामानि निरुक्तानि

निबन्धनी रज्जुरेषा या ग्रामे वसतो रति: । छित्त्वैतां सुकृतो यान्ति नैनां छिन्दन्ति दुष्कृत:

nibandhanī rajjur eṣā yā grāme vasato ratiḥ | chittvaitāṃ sukṛto yānti naināṃ chindanti duṣkṛtaḥ ||

Nārada nói: “Sự luyến ái đối với các đối tượng giác quan, nảy sinh nơi người sống giữa đời làng xóm, giống như sợi dây trói buộc. Người hiền đức chặt đứt sợi dây ấy mà tiến lên con đường thiện ích chân thật; còn kẻ tạo ác thì không sao chặt nổi.”
