ततोडनध्याय इति तं व्यास: पुत्रमवारयत् | शुको वारितमात्रस्तु कौतूहलसमन्वित:
tato 'nadhyāya iti taṃ vyāsaḥ putram avārayat | śuko vāritamātras tu kautūhalasamanvitaḥ ||
Rồi Vyasa ngăn con trai, nói: “Đây là thời anadhyāya (thời phải đình chỉ việc tụng Veda).” Vừa bị ngăn lại, Shuka liền dấy lên một nỗi hiếu kỳ mãnh liệt, khát khao biết nguyên do của điều cấm ấy.
