स्तुत्यर्थमिह देवानां वेदा: सृष्टा: स्वयम्भुवा । यो निर्वदेत सम्मोहाद् ब्राह्मणं वेदपारगम्
stutyartham iha devānāṃ vedāḥ sṛṣṭāḥ svayambhuvā | yo nirvadet sammohād brāhmaṇaṃ vedapāragam |
Bhīṣma nói: Ở đây, các Veda đã được Đấng Tự Sinh (Brahmā) tạo ra để ca tụng chư thiên. Vì thế, kẻ nào do mê muội mà phỉ báng một Bà-la-môn đã “qua đến bờ kia của Veda” (tức thông suốt Veda), thì kẻ ấy hành động trái nghịch chính nền tảng của trật tự thiêng liêng và hạnh kiểm chính đáng.
