Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the transmission of counsel: authoritative words once spoken by a renowned Yadu hero are being recalled and re-presented to a king, emphasizing how ethical-political instruction (dharma for rulers) is preserved through hearing and retelling, especially in times of grief.

Parvata addresses a king and says he has had certain statements recited to him while overcome with sorrow; these are the same statements earlier spoken to the king by a celebrated Yadu hero, setting up a continuation or reiteration of that prior counsel.
