सुवर्णष्ठीविनोपाख्यानम्

The Account of Suvarṇaṣṭhīvin

देवानामविहिंसायां न भवेन्मानुषक्षयम्‌ । तद्‌ गृहाण महाराज पूजाहों नौ मतो भवान्‌

devānām avihiṁsāyāṁ na bhaven mānuṣa-kṣayam | tad gṛhāṇa mahārāja pūjyo ’haṁ nau mato bhavān ||

Nārada nói: “Nếu giữ bất bạo hại đối với chư thiên, thì không nên phát sinh sự diệt vong của loài người. Vậy, tâu Đại vương, xin nhận lời khuyên này: hãy chọn một ân phúc sao cho chư thiên không bị tổn hại, và nhân loại cũng không bị đưa đến chỗ tàn diệt. Trong mắt chúng ta, ngài thật đáng được tôn kính.”
