अव्यक्त-गुण-पुरुषविवेकः | Avyakta, Guṇas, and Discrimination of Puruṣa
वणिक्ययथं द्विजं क्षत्रं वैश्यशूद्रांस्तथैव च । दानं च विविधाकारं दीनान्धकृपणादिषु
vaṇig yathāṁ dvijaṁ kṣatraṁ vaiśyaśūdrāṁs tathaiva ca | dānaṁ ca vividhākāraṁ dīnāndhakṛpaṇādiṣu ||
Vasiṣṭha nói: “Như một thương nhân, có lúc người ấy buôn bán; có lúc người ấy làm tròn bổn phận của một brāhmaṇa và một kṣatriya; và có lúc khác lại đảm nhận cả nghề nghiệp của vaiśya và śūdra. Người ấy bố thí bằng nhiều cách cho kẻ khốn cùng—người đau khổ, người mù, người nghèo túng và những người khác.”
