वेदवादांस्तथा चित्रानृतूनां पर्ययांस्तथा । क्षयं संवत्सराणां च मासानां च क्षयं तथा
vedavādāṁs tathā citrān ṛtūnāṁ paryayāṁs tathā | kṣayaṁ saṁvatsarāṇāṁ ca māsānāṁ ca kṣayaṁ tathā ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Hãy suy ngẫm cả về những lời dạy muôn vẻ, kỳ diệu của Veda, về sự xoay vần của các mùa, và về dòng thời gian trôi qua không ngừng—năm tháng cũng vậy. Thấy muôn vật đổi thay và suy tàn như thế, người ta phải định rõ bổn phận của mình với sự sáng suốt và tâm chí vững bền.”
