Saṃhāra-krama (The Sequence of Cosmic Dissolution) — Yājñavalkya’s Discourse
विपन्ना धारणास्तात नयन्ति न शुभां गतिम् । नेतृहीना यथा नाव: पुरुषानर्णवे नूप
vipannā dhāraṇās tāta nayanti na śubhāṃ gatim | netṛhīnā yathā nāvaḥ puruṣān arṇave nṛpa ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Này con yêu, những pháp dhāraṇā (định tâm) hỏng dở, chưa thành tựu, không đưa người ta đến kết cục cát tường. Như chiếc thuyền không người lái không thể chở người vượt biển, cũng vậy, khi các thực hành dhāraṇā chưa được thiết lập đúng đắn, chúng không thể dẫn đến con đường thiện hay sự chứng đắc cao hơn.”
