अध्याय २९७ — श्रेयः, धृति, दान-नियमाः
Welfare, Steadfastness, and Norms of Giving
आयुषि क्षयमापन्ने पठचत्वमुपगच्छति । तथा हाकारणाद् भवति कारणैरुपपादितम्
āyuṣi kṣayam āpanne paṭhatvam upagacchati | tathā hākāraṇād bhavati kāraṇair upapāditam ||
Parāśara nói: “Khi thọ mạng đã định đang dần cạn, con người rơi vào cảnh bất lực và suy tàn. Cũng vậy, không có gì sinh khởi mà không do nhân; mọi điều xảy ra đều được thiết lập bởi những nhân duyên thích đáng của nó.”
